About this series Growing Wild: I believe one has to be out of our comfort zone and experience freedom in order to find ourselves and our true potentials. The artworks that we create are a reflection and expression of our inner being. Living in Delhi I have experienced life on my own term. Good times and bad times, waves of different emotions. I rediscover myself in the city, my identity and a deep feeling of belongingness to the north east India. Now every time I come back home, I see it in a different way with a lot of excitement and enthusiasm. I love to observe and study the designs in the wild plants and insects in the garden and in the hills. Everywhere I look around I find inspirations, having no limit. I go deeper into the construction of the designs in nature and I have found their connection to the geometric weaves of the tribal handlooms. In short, the Growing wild series are inspired by the powerful green energy of the wild, geometry in nature and the tribal communities in the north-east India in futuristic rendition.
